Terms of service
1. Agreement to these Terms
By visiting glassycuts.com (the "Site"), creating an account, or buying anything from us, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
"Glassy Cuts," "we," "us" and "our" mean Lisa Stirrett Glass Art Studio, operating as Glassy Cuts from the Lisa Stirrett Creative Warrior Studio, 9536 Silverdale Way NW, Silverdale, WA 98383, USA. "You" means anyone who browses the Site or places an order.
These Terms apply to all products, kits, courses, downloadable resources and content offered on the Site. Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. Minors may use our products only under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf.
3. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version on the Site and changing the "Last updated" date. Changes apply to orders placed after they are posted. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.
4. Our products
We sell supplies for glass art, including System 82 frits and powders, No-Cap Mica, dots and stringers, pre-cut float glass shapes, clear float glass sheets, sample packs, kits, tools and supplies, and courses.
- Natural variation. Glass, frit, powder and mica are handmade or hand-processed materials. Color, size, thickness and finish may vary slightly from photos and from batch to batch. Screen settings also affect how colors appear. These variations are not defects.
- Compatibility. System 82 products are designed for float glass. Results depend on your glass, kiln, firing schedule and technique. Always run a test fire before starting a large or important project. We do not guarantee compatibility with glass or products from other makers.
- Firing schedules and guides. Firing schedules, color guides, tutorials and other resources on the Site are general guidance only. Every kiln behaves differently, and you are responsible for adjusting schedules to your equipment.
- Availability. Products are offered while supplies last. We may change, limit or discontinue any product at any time.
5. Safety and responsible use
Glass art involves real hazards. By buying our products you accept responsibility for using them safely.
- Cut glass and pre-cut shapes can have sharp edges. Handle them with care and wear eye protection when cutting, grinding or breaking glass.
- Frit, powders and mica can create fine airborne dust. Avoid breathing it in. Use a properly rated respirator and good ventilation, and keep food and drink out of your work area.
- Kilns and torches reach extreme temperatures. Follow your equipment maker's instructions and all applicable fire and electrical codes.
- Keep products away from children and pets. Our products are art supplies, not toys.
- Finished pieces are not guaranteed to be food-safe unless a product listing expressly says so.
Read all product labels and any Safety Data Sheets we provide, and contact us if you need one.
6. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we ship the product or deliver access to a course, not when you receive an order confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel any order, including for suspected fraud, pricing or listing errors, or quantity limits. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.
7. Prices and payment
All prices are in U.S. dollars unless shown otherwise. Prices may change without notice, but a change will not affect an order we have already accepted. If a product is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel the order and offer it to you at the correct price.
Applicable sales tax and shipping charges are added at checkout. Payments are processed by our e-commerce platform and its payment providers; we do not store your full card details. You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.
8. Shipping and pickup
We ship to the addresses and regions offered at checkout. Shipping times are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not responsible for carrier delays. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers your order. Please make sure your shipping address is correct; we are not responsible for orders sent to an address you provided incorrectly.
If you ship outside the United States, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes and brokerage fees.
9. Damage, back-orders, returns and refunds
Our full terms are in our Refund Policy. In summary:
-
Damaged items.
Glass can break in transit. If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damaged items and packaging. Keep the items and packaging while we review your report. We may request additional information and will contact you with the proposed resolution, which may include a replacement or refund for the affected items.
- Back-ordered items. If an item you ordered is back-ordered and you would rather have a refund than wait, contact us and we will refund that item.
- Other returns. Except as stated above, sales are final. We do not accept returns of opened frit, powder, mica or cut glass.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
10. Courses and digital content
When you buy a course, tutorial, printable or other digital content, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use it for your own learning. You may not share your login, resell, copy, record, post or distribute course materials.
Course and digital purchases are non-refundable once access has been provided, unless the law requires otherwise. If an in-studio class is listed, its date, cancellation and rescheduling terms will be stated on the listing.
11. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account login secure and for all activity under your account. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Tell us right away if you think your account has been used without permission. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.
12. Intellectual property

You may view and print Site content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell or create derivative products from it without our written permission. Artwork you make using our products is yours to keep, sell and show.
13. Content you share with us
If you send us photos, reviews, project ideas or other content, or tag us on social media, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display and share that content, with credit where practical, to promote Glassy Cuts, including in our Gallery. You confirm that you own the content or have permission to share it. We may remove any content at our discretion.
14. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
- Buy products for resale without our written agreement, or misrepresent our products.
- Interfere with the Site's security or operation, or upload viruses or malicious code.
- Scrape, copy or harvest Site content or data by automated means.
- Impersonate any person or submit false information.
15. Third-party links
The Site may link to other websites, such as our Creative Warriors nonprofit, social media or payment providers. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Site, its content and our products are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any particular artistic or firing result, or that the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Glassy Cuts and its owners, employees and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes lost profits, failed firings, damaged kilns or other equipment, or lost materials and artwork, arising from your use of the Site or our products.
Our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Glassy Cuts and its owners, employees and suppliers from any claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use or misuse of our products, your breach of these Terms, or content you share with us.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kitsap County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
20. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and your purchases. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours.
